Situated just 45 minutes from Limoges, Le Dorat is a small medieval town famous for it's spectacular 12th century Saint-Pierre Collegiale. Classified as a 'Petite Cité de Caractère' the town is home to shops, restaurants and bars including two boulangeries, a charcuterie and a supermarket. There are weekly outdoor markets including the very popular Producers Market which takes place fortnightly during the summer months. Together with a cinema and its own race course, the town also benefits from a train station with frequent services to Limoges, Poitiers and beyond.
The larger town of Bellac is just 15 minutes away, and has a wider selection of shops and supermarkets including Carrefour and Lidl.
